| BANDS: LIVING IN HELL |
Living in Hell was formed in 2010 with the aim of playing straightforward, noisy, and politically charged crustpunk/hardcore, inspired by bands like Doom, Disrupt, Wolfpack, Extreme Noise Terror, Anti-Cimex, and Detestation. The band name comes from the song "Living Hell" by Wolfpack, reflecting the violent and unequal reality of urban life and the outskirts.
The original lineup featured Renan Favero (vocals - ex-Gritos de Alerta), Julio Soares (guitar - ex-Unidos Pelo Ódio), Gustavo Favero (bass/vocals - ex-Gritos de Alerta, Unidos Pelo Ódio), and Leandro Lopes (drums - ex-Unidos Pelo Ódio, R.E.D.). In 2011, the band released the 4-track EP "Portões" as a 7" vinyl, pressed in the USA. They also participated in the Brazilian Discharge Tribute CD with the song "Is This To Be?".
After Gustavo left, João Lucas Silveira (ex-Distrato) took over on bass, completing the final lineup. In 2013, they released the album "Sociedade Violenta" with 12 tracks, featuring guest appearances by Lazze (Riistetyt) and Glauco (Death From Above). The album is available in physical format and on digital platforms. All recordings were made at Hurricane Studio in Porto Alegre by Sebastian Carsin (Ossuary).
The band disbanded in 2014.
